Crafted Connections is a wearable jewelry project that explores the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and digital fabrication. Four stainless steel frames were designed and 3D-printed, offering artisans the opportunity to choose the form best suited to their craft—ceramics, weaving, glassblowing, biomaterials, polymer clay, or metal weaving. These frames were then handed over, and handcrafted elements were added, embedding cultural techniques and personal expression into each piece. The project demonstrates how digital precision and traditional skill can merge to create cohesive, innovative works. By highlighting this collaboration, the project supports the creative economy, offers artisans a platform to engage with contemporary design, and encourages cross-disciplinary exchange. Shared authorship is emphasized, proposing a future where craft and technology evolve together.
